The voice Finalist Carter Rubin delivered another touching performance during the finals on Monday evening, producing a beautiful tune for the last time before the winner was announced on Tuesday. The 15-year-old sang a stunning, inspiring rendition of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb,” while his trainer Gwen Stefani proudly watched. The talented young musician has impressed the jurors again and again throughout the season and often moved them to tears after his hearty, powerful vocal performances.
“I’m so happy for you,” said Stefani to Rubin. “You’re amazing, you’re just so calm and it feels like you’re just supposed to do this, and I know America will see that tonight.” Judge Blake Shelton also stepped in, praising Rubin’s talent and declaring himself a fan. “I have to say, even though I’m supposed to be your competition, I’ve never felt it. This has been a tough year for everyone, and this year and sit in that chair and listen to someone with your talent, with your heart … amazing, “he said. Watch the angel ceiling at the top.
