Hi Guys! Today’s review will revolve around VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash. Facial cleanser is included in every everyday kit. Your skin care routine doesn’t really start until you clean your face.
While there are plenty of skin-safe DIY natural cleansers out there, a finished face wash is an inevitable choice after a hectic day of daily work. I have oily to combination skin. My skin loves gel-based face washes a lot better than foam washes. Using the same old face washes every time bores me a lot.
I always keep my eyes peeled for budget-friendly ones. VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash is one of those facial cleansers that I buy again and again. Ever since VLCC launched their Ayurvedic face washes, I’ve been using them toggled on and off.
There are four facial cleanser variants in this series. I’ve used them all, but this Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi variant works best on my skin. You are wondering why I am singing so much praise for VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash? My detailed review answers all of your questions!
About VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleaning & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash
Thoroughly cleanse your skin with VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash – a unique formula that is endowed with the wealth of Ayurvedic herbs – Haldi & Tulsi. While Haldi (turmeric) has antioxidant properties that fight the reactive oxygen species that damage your skin, Tulsi is high in ursolic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, both of which help deeply cleanse your pores. This will make your skin look fresher and more cared for.
1. Without parabens and without synthetic dyes
2. Soap-free formula
3. Ayurvedic formulation
Packaging: This facial cleanser is supplied in a clear plastic tube with a hinged dispenser system. The output hole is not very wide; it has standard diameter. The product inside is thinner than usual, so a lot of toner comes out when you tilt the tube.
A transparent plastic label is stuck to the tube to display all the necessary details, claims, ingredients, etc. The packaging is not too thin, but at the same time not super stable. If you drop it on hard ground, the tube will remain intact but the cap will break.
This is definitely not the best type of packaging in the VLCC range, but the quality is acceptable given the price. After all, you need the product in the package; not the packaging itself!
Color & Consistency: VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash looks pale yellow in the tube. Once you take it out in a small amount, the faint color almost disappears and it looks colorless.
According to VLCC, the facial cleanser does not contain any artificial colors. The color we see could be from the ingredients or from organic coloring.
In terms of consistency, it is a transparent gel. The texture is pretty thin. It is a flowing liquid wash; not at all your usual thick gel-based formulas. In general, facial cleansers of this consistency are suitable for all skin types.
It’s a paraben-free product, but there’s no way to tell whether it contains sulfates or not. VLCC has not revealed what is in their “cleaner base”! The toner doesn’t feel hard or drying out on my combination skin. It doesn’t foam much and it can be washed off without leaving any slimy residue.
Scent: This facial toner, enriched with turmeric and holy basil, smells of wild turmeric or Kasturi Haldi. VLCC did not mention anything about the fragrances in the Ingredients section, so it is not possible to trace the actual source of the odor.
The scent could be from turmeric essential oil, which is the second main ingredient in this wash. It can also be flavored with turmeric. However, the turmeric scent feels refreshing to my senses. Even if you despise the spicy turmeric scent, you will not be bothered because the mild smell has a very short lingering time.
Quantity & Price: You have to pay Rs.110 to receive a 100ml pack of VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash. The price won’t burn a hole in your pocket as you can get it from Rs.75-80. can buy when selling online.
There is also a 50ml trial size. If you are a first time user or looking for a travel size facial cleanser, give this one a try. As I mentioned earlier, this is one of the most affordable facial cleansers out of the entire Indian drugstore face wash program. Considering the quality, quantity and price, it is an inexpensive product for me.
My general thoughts
Turmeric and holy basil are two powerful ingredients for oily skin. Both have natural anti-inflammatory properties. They relieve common skin problems like acne, rashes, and redness. The presence of these two main ingredients was one of the reasons I chose VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash.
This liquid facial cleanser is able to remove excess oil and accumulated dirt from my skin, leaving it feeling fresh after each use. With the first application I could feel the deep cleansing effect. My skin doesn’t break out much these days. Let me tell you that this wash does nothing on breakouts.
It won’t irritate you further, but it won’t improve the pimple situation either. With this, don’t expect any action that fades the darkness. This is a basic facial cleanse and works well as a deep cleanse. I use aha-bha-based cleansers once a day, usually in the evening.
VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash is a great neutral facial cleanser that I use in my morning skin care routine. It never irritates my skin and doesn’t interfere with the action of skin care ingredients like niacinamide or retinol.
